Terms of Employment:  Part-time Position

 

Location: FUMC Weekday School

 

Qualifications and Licensure:

  • Knowledge of current teaching standards and research-base teaching strategies 
  • Evidence of teacher effectiveness (assessment data or EVAAS teacher effectiveness data) 
  • Active North Carolina Teaching License 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Utilizes student data and observations of student work to determine student needs 
  2. Plans daily intervention lessons that are based on student need and the NC Standard Course of Study. 
  3. Facilitates engaging small group instruction for students 
  4. Maintains open communication with the student’s regular classroom teacher and their parent/guardian to ensure student needs are being met 
  5. Maintains records of student progress and attendance 
  6. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
