Reports To:  Executive Director for Facility Services

 

Terms of Employment:  Permanent, 12 Month Position

 

Nature of Work

 

This position within the Facilities Services department, supervises the resources and staff who provide on-site Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) repair and maintenance services for assigned systems and/or buildings.  The HVAC Supervisor plans, directs and oversees all work activities, lead workers, and/or maintenance technicians, which follow a daily and seasonal plan for maintenance services.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to sit; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

 

Special Requirements (if applicable)

 

The employee must be proficient in all areas of commercial system HVAC installation and maintenance and must possess leadership and organizational skills.  The employee must have the ability to assist and prepare a variety of reports.  Vital to this job is that the employee must possess knowledge of any applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations codes and/or statutes.
